skyler-halfordSkyler Halford played basketball at BYU from 2013-2015.

He played High School basketball at Timpanogos High School. As a senior he was second in 5A in scoring with 23.6 points per game and earned second-team and third-team all-state honors from the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News. Following High School Halford was recruited by Hawaii, Idaho, Idaho State, Portland, San Diego, Seton Hall, SLCC, UNLV, and Utah State.  He redshirted for one season at Utah State University before serving an LDS mission in Brazil.

Following his mission Halford transferred and played for Salt Lake Community College where he was an NJCAA All-America First team honoree as a sophomore. He was also the Region 18 MVP and Scenic West Athletic conference player of the Year. At SLCC Halford averaged 17.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

At BYU Halford continued to show improvement playing in nearly every game during his Junior and Senior seasons. He showed remarkable improvement during his senior season when he had a real defensive presence and became an on-court leader and spark off the bench. Over his final sixteen BYU games he averaged 23.8 MPG with 13.3 PPG, 2.2 RPG, 2.4 APG, and 0.8 SPG while shooting 35/66 From 3-point land (54%).
