Kamel Green is a 5’11” 178 pound Defensive Back on the BYU football team (High School Class of 2013). Kamel walked onto the Washington State Cougars in 2013 with his twin brother Kahshan and redshirted in 2014. He and WSU teammate Squally Canada both decided to transfer to BYU, signing on January 16, 2015. Unlike Canada who must sit a year, Greene is immediately eligible as a walk-on transfer to play as a redshirt sophomore with three years to play three.
Greene prepped at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California, where he played cornerback, fielded kicks, and ran sprints on the track team. As a senior he had 77 tackles, six passes deflected, and two fumble recoveries and was named an honorable mention on the All-Daily News team. In three years on the St. Francis track team Greene ran a 10.89 100 meter and a 23.61 200 meter, while also participating on the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams.
