Only four BYU alumni were in-action on Sunday. Dennis Pitta had a couple receptions, Daniel Sorensen had another solid game with four tackles, and Ziggy Ansah continued to improve after an early season injury to record five tackles, including one for loss. Ezekiel “Ziggy” Ansah (DE, 2010-12; Detroit). Detroit (5-4) defeated Minnesota 22-16. Ziggy had five solo tackles, including one for a three yard loss. He started at defensive end and played 43 snaps on defense (61%). Season Totals: 12 tackles (9 solo, 3 assisted), two tackles for loss
John Denney (LS, 2001-04; Miami). Miami (4-4) won their third straight with a 27-23 victory over the New York Jets. Season Totals: No stats
Dennis Pitta (TE, 2004, 2007-09; Baltimore). Baltimore (4-4) ended their four game losing skid with a 21-14 victory over Pittsburg. Pit was targeted three times and had two receptions for 14 yards. He started and played 58 snaps on offense (83%) and one snap on special teams (3%). Season Totals: 40 receptions for 349 yards
Daniel Sorensen (DB, 2008, 2011-13; Kansas City). The Chiefs (6-2) defeated Jacksonville 19-14. Sorensen had three solo tackles as well as one assisted tackle. He played 44 snaps on defense (57%) and another 22 snaps on special teams (79%). Season Totals: 34 tackles (31 solo, 3 assisted); two TFL; three pass deflections; one forced fumble; two INT with one returned 48 yards for a TD; one sack.
Kyle Van Noy (LB, 2010-13; New England). New England (7-1) had a bye week. Season Totals: 23 tackles (21 solo, two assisted); one TFL; one pass deflection.

Cougars on practice squads:
- Paul Lasike (RB/FB, 2012-14; Chicago). Lasike was waived (10/20) after appearing in four games this season (with one start). Season Totals: two carries for three yards
- Mitch Mathews was signed o the Cleveland Browns practice squad, but was released last week to make room for TE Connor Hamlett
- Jordan Leslie was spent one week on the Tennessee Titans practice squad in September, and was added on October 18th to the Cleveland Browns practice squad
- Cody Hoffman has spent this season on the practice squad for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
