Daniel Sorensen topped his outstanding performance last week with a pick six this week. He also had three tackles in the Chief’s victory over the Saints. That was the only notable performance of the week for Cougar alumni, however, that was far from the only action. In a flurry of transactions Paul Lasike was waived by the Bears, while Jordan Leslie was added to the Browns practice squad and Kyle Van Noy was traded to the Patriots. All statistics, snap counts, and transactions for active players are recorded below.
Ezekiel “Ziggy” Ansah (DE, 2010-12; Detroit). Detroit (4-3) defeated Washington 20-17. Ziggy had one solo tackle and one assistant tackle. He played 41 snaps on defense (56%). Season Totals: five tackles (3 solo, 2 assisted), one tackle for loss
John Denney (LS, 2001-04; Miami). Miami (3-4) defeated Buffalo 28-25. Denney played 10 snaps on special teams (31%) and recorded no stats. Season Totals: No stats
Paul Lasike (RB/FB, 2012-14; Chicago). Lasike was waived (10/20) and did not play in Chicago’s loss to Green Bay 26-10. Season Totals: Lasike has appeared in four games this season with one start. He had two carries for three yards
Dennis Pitta (TE, 2004, 2007-09; Baltimore). Baltimore (3-4) lost its fourth straight, falling 24-16 to the New York Jets. Pitta started and was targeted 10 times. He had four receptions for 40 yards, playing 46 offensive snaps (79%). Season Totals: 38 receptions for 335 yards
Daniel Sorensen (DB, 2008, 2011-13; Kansas City). The Chiefs (4-2) defeated New Orleans 27-21. Sorensen scored on a 48 pick six for his first career touchdown. He also had three solo tackles as he played 43 snaps on defense (58%) and another 20 snaps on special teams (77%). Season Totals: 17 tackles (15 solo, 2 assisted); one TFL; two pass deflections; two INT with one returned 48 yards for a TD.
Kyle Van Noy (LB, 2010-13; Detroit). Detroit (4-3) defeated Washington 20-17 in what will be Van Noy’s last game as a Lion. He is being traded to the New England Patriots with a seventh-round pick for a sixth-round pick. In the game KVN had two solo tackles and one assisted tackle. He started and played 36 defensive snaps (49%) and 17 more on special teams (77%). Season Totals: 22 tackles (20 solo, two assisted); one TFL; one pass deflection.

- Uani ‘Unga (MLB, 2011-13). On the injured reserve for New York Giants
- De’Ondre Wesley (OT, 2013-14). On injured reserve for Baltimore Ravens.
- Alani Fua (ILB, 2010-14). Placed on injured reserve after week 3. Season Totals: One assisted tackle
Cougars on practice squads:
- Mitch Mathews was signed o the Cleveland Browns practice squad
- Jordan Leslie was spent one week on the Tennessee Titans practice squad in September, and was added on October 18th to the Cleveland Browns practice squad
- Cody Hoffman has spent this season on the practice squad for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
