3-Star LB Oliver Nasilai chooses BYU over Oklahoma State (Class of 2018)

The commitments keep rolling in for BYU football.  The most recent commit is Oliver Nasilai—a 6-foot-1 244 pound linebacker who announced his commitment via Twitter this afternoon (Class of 2018).

Nasilai preps at Har-Ber High School (Springdale, AR), where as a sophomore he had 67 tackles (31 solo), with 6.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, three quarterback hurries, two passes defended, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and an interception.  He was named to the All-Conference team. This past season as a junior he had 61 tackles (27 solo) with 14.0 tackles for loss, four quarterback hurries, two passes defended, three forced fumbles and one recovery, a blocked field goal, and interception, and three sacks.  He also rushed seven times for 21 yards and a touchdown. He was named to the All-State team, and was Lienbacker and Defensive Player of the Year for the 7A West Conference.

Nasilai is rated 3-stars by Scout and Rivals and is not yet rated by ESPN. He holds scholarship offers from BYU and Oklahoma State and has also seen recruiting interest from Arizona State, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, Navy, Northwester, Utah, and Virginia.
