Najee Harris is a 6-foot-2, 220 pound running back who was offered a scholarship to play for the BYU football team (Class of 2017).

Harris preps at Antioch High School (CA), where as a junior he carried the ball 243 times for 2744 yards (11.3 ave) and 36 touchdowns. He also caught five passes for another 129 yards and three more scores. On defense he recorded 10 tackles (seven solo), had two quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery, and three sacks.
Harris is rated 5-stars by Rivals, Scout, and ESPN (grade of 92). Both Scout and Rivals list him as the top recruit in the Class of 2017 while ESPN ranks him as the No. 4 recruit. Harris holds scholarship offers from Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, BYU, Cal, Colorado State, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, Texas, UCLA, USC, Utah, Vanderbilt, Washington, and Washington State. BYU has reportedly been recruiting Harris for a long time and offered him a scholarship in November 2014. Harris attended the BYU-USU game last season and made an unofficial trip to BYU in January. He committed to Alabama on April 22, 2015.
