Jaggers preps at Roseville High School, where as a sophomore in 2014 he had only three receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown, but started generating substantial recruiting interest due to his size and run blocking ability. So far in 2015 (his junior season) he has 12 receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown, 18 total tackles (five solo), three tackles for loss, a forced fumble, two quarterback hurries, and three sacks. He also returned one kickoff for 19 yards and had two two-point conversions (both receptions).
Jaggers is rated 4-stars by Rivals and Scout, with Rivals listing him as the No. 2 tight end nationally and the No. 140 overall prospect in the 2017 Class. ESPN rates him 3-stars (grade of 79) and have him in the Top 300 prospects. Jaggers holds scholarship offers from Arizona State, BYU, Colorado, Louisville, Michigan, Northwestern, Oregon State, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah, Vanderbilt, Washington, Washington State. He has also been recruited by Arizona, Boston College, California, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, SDSU, SJSU, Stanford, Texas A&M, and USC.
