Charles Watson choose the Beavers over BYU (Class of 2017)

After de-commiting from Washington State in September, Hawaiian safety Charles “Moku” Watson took his visits and narrowed his list to BYU and Oregon State. At the Polynesian bowl he announced his commitment to the Beavers.

watson_charles_150pxCharles Watson (Class of 2017) is a 6-foot-2 178 pound safety that preps at Leilehua High School (HI), where this season he has 22 receptions for 366 yards and two touchdowns.  He also has 11 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble. The speedster was hand-timed last summer at 4.40 in the 40-meters and has accepted an invitation to play in the inaugural Polynesian Bowl in January.

Watson is rated 3-stars by Rivals, Scout, and ESPN (grade of 76). 24/7 has him as the No. 3 overall prospect in Hawaii.  Watson holds scholarship offers from BYU, Colorado, Fresno State, Hawaii, Oregon State, SDSU, SJSU, UNLV, Vanderbilt, and Washington State.  He’s also seen recruiting interest from Arizona, ASU, Boise State, Cal, Michigan, Navy, Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, and Washington.

Watson took visits to Washington State, Oregon State, and BYU and announced his commitment to the Beavers on January 21, 2017.
