BYU Football: Pro Tracker, NFL Week 4

Week four of NFL action saw Ziggy Ansah with another dominant performance and Daniel Sorensen with his first tackle of the season. Meanwhile in the CFL injured John Beck announced his retirement at the end of the season and Austin Collie had his first career touchdown pass. All 2015 pro stats for former Cougs are outlined below.

Stat Lines (alphabetical)

  • Ziggy Ansah (DE, Detroit Lions, 3rd season). Detroit fell to Seattle 13-10 despite Ziggy’s big night.  He had two solo tackles, one assisted tackle, two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Season Stats (4 games): 15 tackles (12 solo, three assists), 4.0 sacks, 1 FF, 1 FR, 3 TFL.
  • John Denney (LS, Miami Dolphins, 11th season). Miami lost 27-14 to the New York Jets.  Denney recorded no statistics.
  • Alani Fua (LB, Arizona Cardinals, UDFA rookie). Fua recorded no statistics in Arizona’s 24-22 loss to the St. Louis Rams.  Season Stats (3 games): 2 solo tackles
  • Dennis Pitta (TE, Baltimore Ravens, 6th season). Pitta is currently on the injured list (hip) and did not play in Baltimore’s 23-20 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  • Dallas Reynolds (G, New York Giants, 4th season). Recorded no statistics in New York’s 24-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills.
  • Daniel Sorensen (DB, Kansas City Chiefs, 2nd season). Sorensen had his first tackle of the season in Kansas City’s 36-21 loss to Cincinnati. Season stats (4 games): 1 solo tackle.
  • Uani (Devin) Unga (LB, New York Giants, 2nd season). After last week’s huge game, Unga had a relatively quiet week with one solo tackle and one assisted tackle in New York’s 24-10 victory over Buffalo.  Season stats (4 games): 28 tackles (18 SOLO, 10 AST), 4 PD, 1 FF, 2 INT.
  • Kyle Van Noy (LB, Detroit Lions, 2nd season).  KVN recorded no statistics in Detroit’s 13-10 loss to Seattle.  Season stats (4 games: 1 solo tackle, one assisted tackle.

Players in the Candadian Football League (CFL)

  • John Beck (QB, BC Lions, 2nd season). Is currently on injured list and announced this week he will retire from playing football at the conclusion of this season. Season stats: 50-79 (.633) passing for 498 yards, four TDs, and four INTs.  3 carries for 32 yards.  QB rating of 76.9.
  • Austin Collie (WR, BC Lions, 1st season). Had a 21-yard touchdown pass on a trick play in this weeks 46-20 victory over Saskatchewan. Watch Collie’s first career pro completion. Season stats: 32 receptions for 338 yards (10.6 ave.) and six TDs; 1-1 passing for 21 yards and one touchdown; one tackle.
  • Cody Hoffman (WR, Montreal Alouettes, 1st season). Season stats: four receptions for 59 yards (14.8 ave.) and one TD.
  • Quinn Lawlor (OL, Montreal Alouettes, 1st season).
