3 Cougars start and 8 play, BYU Pro Tracker: NFL, Week 6

The following are the statistics and snap counts for all BYU alumni who played in the NFL this week:

Kyle Van Noy, LB, New England Patriots.  Van Noy started and had five solo tackles, one assisted tackle, and two sacks in New England’s victory over the Jets. He played 65 snaps on defense (86%) and five snaps on special teams (20%).  Season Totals: 29 solo tackles, nine assisted tackles, 3.5 sacks.

Daniel Sorensen, S, Kansas City Chiefs. Sorensen started and had four solo tackles (including one for loss), and four assisted tackles in Kansas City’s loss to the Steelers. He played 62 snaps on defense (97%) and 11 more on special teams (44%). Season Totals: 23 solo tackles, eight assisted tackles, one half sack, one tackle for loss, one pass defended.

Ezekiel Ansah, DE, Detroit Lions.  Ansah started and had one solo tackle, one assisted tackle, and one fumble recovery in Detroit’s loss to New Orleans.  He played 42 defensive snaps (59%).  Season Totals: 13 solo tackles, one assisted tackle, four sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery.

Bronson Kaufusi, DE, Baltimore Ravens.  Kaufusi had one solo tackle and one assisted tackle in Baltimore’s loss to Chicago.  He played in five defensive snaps (6%) and six special teams snaps (16%).  Season Totals: Two solo tackles, one assisted tackle in two games played.

Michael Davis, CB, Los Angeles Chargers.  Davis had one solo tackle in the Chargers win.  Season Totals: Four solo tackles, one assisted tackle.

Jamaal Williams, RB, Green Bay Packers.  Williams played only nine special teams snaps (35%) and recorded no stats in Green Bay’s loss to Minnesota.  Season Totals: Six rushes for 22 yards, one reception for five yards.

Kai Nacua, DB, Cleveland Browns. Nacua recorded no stats in Cleveland’s loss to Houston, playing 11 snaps on special teams (33%). Season Totals: No stats

John Denney, LS, Miami Dolphins.  Denney played in 6 special team plays (26%) as long snapper and recorded no stats in Miami’s victory over Atlanta.  Season Totals: No stats.

Inactive Players

  • Harvey Langi, ILB, New England Patriots. Langi was in a car accident and was on injured reserve this week.  Season Totals: One solo tackle
  • Taysom Hill, QB, New Orleans Saints. Hill was not active this week.  Season Totals: No stats.

Recently Waived Players

  • Jordan Leslie, WR, Cleveland Browns. Leslie was waived by the Browns on October 11th following a hamstring injury.  He is currently a free agent.  Season Totals: one reception for 26 yards.
  • Alani Fua, LB, Arizona Cardinals. Fua was on injured reserve last season and started this year there as well, but his knee never fully healed so they waived him on September 17, 2017. Season Totals: no stats
