BYU Basketball Recruit: Frank Jackson (Class of 2016)

Frank_JacksonFrank Jackson is a Class of 2016 BYU basketball recruit from Lone Peak High School. He verbally committed to the Cougars after his Freshman season at Lone Peak but after receiving a lot of recruiting attention has since re-opened that commitment. He is currently being recruited by such basketball powers as Kansas, Duke, and Stanford. High School highlights include a 50-point outing against the MPAC International All-Star team in Dubai and a 54-point night against Clark County (NV). Was part of the Lone Peak team that won the 5A Utah state basketball title in 2013-14 (Sophomore season) and was named to the 5A first team that season.  As a junior he set the school’s single-game scoring record (54) and currently holds four of the top six best scoring performances in LP school history. The Daily Herald has named him Valley Player of the Year.

Scout has Jackson as a 5-star player and the #1 Point Guard in the West, and #11 in their Top 100. Rivals lists him as the #31 recruit nationally and rated him 4-stars.  ESPN rated him an 92, 5-star recruit and 20th nationally.  He is being recruited by Arizona, ASU, BYU, Duke, Gonzaga, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Maryland, Stanford, Utah, and UCLA.
