3-star TE/MLB Cade Otton adds BYU and Oregon State to his growing offer list (Class of 2017)

Cade Otton is a 6-foot-5, 224 pound tight end/middle linebacker who was recently offered a scholarship to play for the BYU football team (Class of 2017).

otton_cade_150pxOtton preps at Tumwater High School (WA), where as a junior he had 26 receptions for 500 yards and nine touchdowns, and recorded 138 total tackles (105 solo), 12 tackles for loss, four sacks, and had one touchdown on a fumble recovery.  He was named to the 2A All-State first team in both the tight-end and linebacker positions and was the Evergreen Conference defensive player of the year.  He also plays baseball, basketball, and soccer and holds a 3.94 GPA.

Otton is rated 3-stars by Rivals and Scout, who has him as the No. 2 tight end in Washington. He has not yet been rated by ESPN. Otton holds scholarship offers from BYU, Eastern Washington, Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon State, Nebraska, Nevada, Wyoming, and Yale. He is also being recruited by Montana, Oregon, Standford, Utah, Utah State, Washington, Washington State, and Weber State.
