As a freshman for the Ducks in 2016 Kirby played in nine games and recorded eleven total tackles (four solo, seven assisted), a fumble recovery, and two pass breakups.
He will enroll at BYU this month, and thereby be eligible to practice in Spring ball. He is seeking a waiver to be immediately eligible to play in the 2017 season.
Kirby actually started as a verbal commit for BYU’s football Class of 2016. The Cougars offered on June 26, 2015 following the All-Poly camp where Kirby was named the defensive lineman MVP. Then, following offers from Utah and Oregon he re-opened his recruitment.
Thanks to everyone supporting me on my decisions. Its probably one of the hardest decisions I’ve been faced with. 👌
