
Tavita Gagnier is a 6-foot-2 225-pound linebacker for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2018.
BYU summary: In two seasons at BYU (roster years 2019-2020), Gagnier has played in seven games and has recorded six tackles (two solo) and one tackle for loss (BYUcougars.com).

- 2021 (Freshman). Missed the season due to injury
- 2020 (COVID Freshman). Played in four games and recorded four tackles (one solo), and one tackle for loss
- 2019 (Redshirt). Played in three games and recorded two tackles (one solo)
High School. Gagnier prepped at Stansbury High School (Tooele, Utah), where as a senior he had 35 carries for 284 yards and three touchdowns, 16 receptions for 347 yards and three touchdowns, with 64 tackles (40 solo), one tackle for loss, eight passes defended, and four interceptions. He also returned seven kickoffs for 252 yards and a touchdown, and five punts for 23 yards (MaxPreps). He was team MVP as a senior, was named to the All-State second-team, and helped lead his team to their second consecutive region championship. He also played basketball as Stansbury.
Recruitment. Gagnier was recruited by William Penn, Weber State, Southern Utah, and Utah State. He joined BYU as a walk-on in 2019 and switched from defensive back to linebacker in 2020.
