Tanner Wall: WR #28, Class of 2018

Tanner Wall is a 6-foot-1 190-pound wide receiver for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2018.

BYU summary: In his first season at BYU (2021) Wall redshirted but appeared in two games (BYUcougars.com).

High School. Wall prepped at Yorktown High school (Arlington, Virginia), where he was primarily a receiver, but also spent time at quarterback, defensive back, and as a kick and punt returner (247Sports).  As a senior he had 1650 all-purpose yards and 17 touchdowns, with 56 receptions for 857 yards.  He rushed 34 times for 340 yards and had 131 tackles with nine tackles for loss and two interceptions (including a pick six). As a junior he had 11 touchdowns, with 100 tackles, five interceptions, two forced fumbles, and seven pass breakups.

As a senior he was conference and Arlington County Player of the Year, All-Met Team (as a receiver), and First-team All-Region on offense (receiver), defense (safety), and special teams (punt returner). As a junior Wall was named to the All-Conference team on offense (quarterback), defense (defensive back) and special teams (kick and punt returner).  He was also a standout on the baseball team.

Recruitment. Wall was recruited by William and Mary, Harvard, Virginia, Richmond, Yale, Columbia, Bucknell, and Princeton. He committed January 15, 2018 and joined BYU in 2021 as a preferred walk-on.
