Sonny Makasini: OL #66, Class of 2019

Sonny Makasini Jr. is a 6-foot-3 335-pound offensive lineman for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2019.

High School. Makasini prepped at Timpview high school (Provo, Utah), where he played guard and tackle (MaxPreps). He also played on the baseball team at Timpview.

Recruitment. Makasini was rated 3-stars by 247Sports (81), who rated him the no. 33 overall recruit out of the state of Utah for the Class of 2019.  He held scholarship offers from BYU and Utah State and signed with Utah State on February 6, 2019. Makasini flipped his commitment to BYU after his mission and participated in spring practices 2021.
