Sitake and Co. preparing for the future with offers to Holker and Turner

While this is a very big week for finalizing commitments for the Class of 2017 ahead of next weeks National Letter of Intent Day, that isn’t keeping the BYU coaching staff from also looking to future needs. This week they extended scholarship offers to Class of 2018 tight end Dallin Holker (Lehi, Utah) and Class of 2019 wide receiver and free safety Jacob Turner (Carlsbad, CA).

Dallin Holker is a 6-foot-5 222 pound tight end that ended this season at No. 1 nationally for receiving yards (1295) and receptions (105) at the tight end position.  He accounted for 11 touchdowns for the Pioneers.  He also had 21 tackles (14 solo) as a safety, with one forced fumble and one interception.

Holker also has offers from Southern Utah and Utah State and has seen recruiting interest from Utah.

Jacob “Asa” Turner is a wide receiver and free safety for Carlsbad High School in California, but originally hails from Hawaii. The 6-foot-4 190 pound sophomore is already starting to turn heads.  BYU is the first school to offer, but others won’t be far behind.
