Sam Dawe: OL #75, Class of 2019

Sam Dawe is a 6-foot-3 298-pound offensive lineman for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2019.

BYU summary: Dawe is in his first season at BYU after redshirt at Idaho State University and serving an LDS mission in Singapore (BYUcougars.com).

  • 2022 (Freshman). Mid-year enrollee (January 2022) after transferring from ISU
  • 2021 (Redshirt). Did his redshirt year at Idaho State University and then transferred to BYU
  • 2019-20 (LDS mission). Singapore

High School. Dawe prepped at Spanish Fork high school (Spanish Fork, Utah), where he was a four-year varsity starter and two-time team captain. He had 95 pancake blocks on offense and had 18 tackles for loss and 10 sacks on defense (ISU profile). Was a first-team All-State and All-Region winner in 2018, with an All-American honorable mention. He was also runner-up as the Utah Offensive Lineman of the year. He was also an All-State wrestler for Spanish Fork.

Recruitment. Dawe signed with and redshirted at Idaho State in 2021.  He then enrolled at BYU mid-year in 2022 and walked-on to the football team.
