Paula “Mango” Finau (Class of 2017)

Paula “Mango” Finau is a 6-foot-5 340 pound offensive tackle and defensive tackle who made a commitment to play for the Cougars in early December as part of the Class of 2017.

Finau started his prep career at Baldwin High School (HI) but then spent some time at Hawaii powerhouse Saint Louis School.  He transferred back to Baldwin for his senior season and there was named to the Maui Interscholastic First-Team.  He has also been selected to play in the upcoming Polynesian Bowl All-Star game.

Finau is rated 3-stars by Scout and Rivals and is not yet rated by ESPN. BYU is his first offer but he has also seen considerable recruiting interest from Oregon State. Finau plans to take a two-year LDS mission after his freshman season.
