Morgan Pyper is a 6-foot-2 220-pound linebacker for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2015.

BYU summary: In three seasons at BYU (roster years 2019-2021), Pyper has played in 30 games (one start) and has 39 tackles (19 solo), with 0.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery (BYUcougars.com).

  • 2021 (Sophomore). Played in 13 games (one start) and had 29 tackles (14 solo) with 0.5 tackles for loss
  • 2020 (COVID Sophomore). Played in 12 games, had eight tackles (four solo), and a fumble recovery
  • 2019 (Freshman). Played in five games as defensive back, had two tackles (one solo)
  • 2018 (Redshirt). Joined as a mid-year enrollee and played running back on scout team
  • YEAR (LDS Mission). Milan, Italy

High School. Pyper prepped at Hillcrest High School (Idaho Falls, Idaho), where he played running back, safety, and quarterback (MaxPreps). Was named Eastern Idaho and High Country Player of the Year (2014) and second-team All-Idaho. He ran a reported 4.55 forty and 11.4 100-meter, with a 28-inch vertical, a 235 bench, and 405 squat (HUDL). He competed in the 100-meter, 200-meter, long jump, and relays for the track and field team (Athletic.net).

Recruitment. Pyper was joined BYU as a walk-on in 2018.
