BYU football gets verbal commit from OLB Michael Daley (Class of 2019)

Michael Daley is a 6-foot-3 225 pound outside linebacker and defensive end who celebrated the 4th of July by announcing his commitment to play for the Cougars (Class of 2019).

Daley preps at Lone Peak High School (Alpine, Utah), where as a senior he recorded 77 tackles (50 solo), with three passes defended, two fumble recoveries with one forced, four blocked punts, six quarterback hurries, 36 tackles for loss, and 24 sacks.Β  As a junior, he had 32 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, one pass deflection, one fumble recovery, one interception (returned 60 yards for a touchdown) and five sacks.

Daley has scholarship offers from Air Force, BYU and UNLV and has also seen recruiting interest from Princeton, Rice, TCU, Utah State, and Yale.
