High School. Anderson prepped at J.W. Mitchell high school (Lutz, Florida), where as a senior he had a 27-yard touchdown pass, four rushes for 45 yards, and 31 receptions for 443 yards and 11 touchdowns (MaxPreps). He also returned 9 kickoffs (42.4 avg) and 16 punts for 639 total yards and four touchdowns, good for fourth most return yards in the state of Florida. He was team MVP and named to the All-District and All-Conference first-teams, and the All-State second team.
Recruitment. Anderson saw recruiting interest from Florida, USF, and Utah. Anderson signed with BYU as a preferred walk-on on February 3, 2021.
Personal. Son of former BYU receiver RJ Anderson (1995-97).
