Logan Fano: DL #56, Class of 2021

Logan Fano is a 6-foot-4 240-pound defensive lineman who played for  Brigham Young University in 2022, recruited as part of the Class of 2021.

BYU summary: Fano spent his first season at BYU after returning from an LDS mission in Texas (BYUcougars.com).

  • After BYU.  Entered transfer portal on December 6, 2022 and announced his commitment to play for the University of Utah.
  • 2022 (Freshman). Tore ACL in spring practices, redshirt.
  • 2021-2022 (LDS mission). San Antonio, Texas

High School. Fano prepped at Timpview High School (Provo, Utah), where as a senior he had 115 tackles (95 solo), 28 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, four passes defended, a fumble recovery, and two interceptions with one returned for a touchdown (MaxPreps). He was named to the Utah 5A All-State First-team, and was the Region defensive MVP.  Fano was also a Freshman FBU All-American and All-Region first team selection as a junior and senior.  Four-year letterwinner in football and also lettered in basketball.

Recruitment. Fano was rated 4-stars by 247Sports (90), who rated him the no. 4 overall prospect from the state of Utah for the Class of 2021. He held scholarship offers from Arizona, ASU, BYU, Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Utah, Utah State, Virginia, Washington, Washington State, and Wisconsin. Fano signed with BYU on December 16, 2020.
