Tai is a 6-foot-7 336-pound offensive tackle that played right tackle for two seasons at Snow College (JUCO).Β He helped the Badgers end the 2021 season ranked no. 4 with a 7-1 record.Β They went 8-1 his freshman season and finished as the NJCAA national runner-up.
Originally from Inglewood, California, Tai prepped at Hawthorne high school where he played on both the offensive and defensive lines, as well as suiting up for the basketball team.Β Out of high school he had offers to BYU and San Diego State with interest from Arizona State, Ball State, Fresno State, Oregon State, Penn State, and UCLA.
Following high school he served an LDS mission to Houston and then joined the Snow College team for the 2020 season.Β He will have three years of eligibility remaining to play for the Cougs.
Tai is rated 3-stars by 247Sports (0.8466) who rated him the no. 4 offensive tackle nationally among the JUCO ranks and the no. 19 player overall. He held scholarship offers from Boise State, Buffalo, Fresno State, Grambling State, Jackson State, Maryland, North Texas, Toledo, UAB, UCF, UNLV, Utah State, and West Virginia. Β He was originally committed to BYU and signed as part of the class of 2016
