3-star California CB/RB Larenz Redd commits to BYU (Class of 2019)

Last night BYU got another verbal commitment, this one from Class of 2019 athlete Larenz Redd.  Redd made his announcement with a video posted to Twitter.

Redd preps at Sierra High School (Manteca, CA), where as a junior he played in seven games and carried the ball 67 times for 618 yards and seven touchdowns, with ten receptions for 132 yards and another score (110.6 total yards/game).  He also had a punt return and was 9-for-11 on PATs.  No defensive stats were found but his highlight video (below) shows at least a couple interceptions.

Redd is rated 3-stars by Scout/247 Sports and is not yet rated by Rivals or ESPN. He holds scholarship offers from BYU and San Jose State.
