Kody Epps: WR #0, Class of 2020

Kody Epps is a 5-foot-11 185-pound wide receiver for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 202o.

BYU summary: In two years at BYU, Epps has seen very limited action, playing in just six games as a true freshman in 2020 (BYUcougars.com).  He is now fully recovered from injury and is expected to be an impact player in 2022.

2021 (medical redshirt). Missed the season due to injury.

2020 (redshirt freshman). Epps played in six games as a true freshman over COVID and had two rushes for 18 yards and five receptions for 47 yards.

High School. Epps prepped at Mater Dei high school (Santa Ana, California), where he set school records with 93 receptions for 1,735 yards and 28 touchdowns as a breakout senior (MaxPreps). He was named as one of just four receivers on the USA Today First-Team All-America team and helped Mater Dei to a 12-1 record and a trip to the state title game.

Recruitment. Epps was rated 3-stars by 247Sports (0.8625), and held scholarship offers from seven teams including: Oregon, Arizona State, and USC (247Sports).  Epps committed to BYU on December 18, 2019 and enrolled as part of the Class of 2020.
