Joe Tukuafu is a 6-foot-4 305-pound offensive lineman for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2014.

BYU summary: In five seasons at BYU (roster years 2017-2021), Tukuafu has played in 25 games with 14 starts (BYUcougars.com).

  • 2021 (Junior). Played in 12 games with nine starts
  • 2020 (COVID Junior). Played in nine games with four starts.
  • 2019 (Sophomore). Played in four games, with one start at tight end. Moved to offensive line midway through the season.
  • 2018 (Freshman). Member of the scout team.
  • 2017 (Redshirt). Member of the scout team.
  • 2015-2016 (LDS mission). Cordoba, Argentina

High School. Tukuafu prepped at East High School (Glendale, Utah), where as a senior he had 16 receptions for 319 yards, averaging 19.9 yards per reception (MaxPreps).

Recruitment. Tukuafu was rated 2-stars by 247Sports (0.7782), who rated him the no. 13 overall prospect from Utah for the Class of 2014. He held scholarship offers from Utah and Utah State with recruiting interest from BYU and Oregon State.  Tukuafu originally committed to Utah (7/15/13), then committed to Utah State (2/4/14). However, after severing his LDS mission to Argentina he enrolled at BYU (1/9/17).
