Georgia Tech/Snow College TE Hunter Marshall joins BYU as a preferred walk-on (Class of 2016)

marshall_hunter_150pxHunter Marshall is a 6-foot-3 240 pound tight end who will join BYU this fall as a redshirt sophomore.  He completed his redshirt year in 2012 as receiver at Georgia Tech prior to serving an LDS mission to Everett, Washington.  Upon his return he transferred to Snow College (JUCO) where he played last season and made the transition to tight end.  He’ll join BYU’s Class of 2016 as a preferred walk-on with three years of eligibility.

Marshall prepped at Kell High School, where he was a two-time all-county selection as a wide receiver.  He had 73 career receptions for 911 yards and eight touchdowns.  He was also named to the All-Region second team. In addition to his time on the gridiron Marshall played lacrosse, where he was the team MVP, and basketball where he was a two-time team defensive MVP.  He is also an Eagle Scout.
