Hunter Greer: DL #97, Class of 2018

Hunter Greer is a 6-foot-5 262-pound defensive lineman for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2018.

BYU summary: In his first year at BYU, Greer redshirted but did play in one game and had a solo tackle (BYUcougars.com).

  • 2021 (Redshirt). In his redshirt season Greer played in one game and had a solo tackle.
  • 2018-20 (LDS mission). Chile.

High School. Greer prepped at Timpanogos high school (Orem, Utah), where as a senior he had 80 tackles (60 solo), 11 quarterback hurries, five pass deflections, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, a blocked field goal, 32 tackles for loss, and 14.5 sacks (MaxPreps).  He also did track and basketball for Timpanogos.

Recruitment. Greer saw recruiting interest from Dixie State, Idaho State, Southern Utah, Weber State, and Utah State.  He joined BYU’s class of 2018 as a preferred walk-on.
