Hinckley Ropati: RB #7, Class of 2021


Hinckley Ropati is a 5-foot-10 215-pound running back for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2021.

BYU summary: In one seasons at BYU (2021), Ropati has four carries for 15 yards (BYUcougars.com).

  • 2022 (Junior).
  • 2021 (Sophomore). Played in five games and rushed four times for 15 yards.
  • 2020 (COVID Sophomore).
  • 2019 (Freshman, Cerritos). Played in 11 games (see below).

Cerritos College. Played in 11 games and rushed 109 times for 647 yards and 10 touchdowns, caught 19 passes for 269 yards, and returned three kickoffs for 26 yards.

High School. Ropati prepped at Downey High School (Downey, California), where as a senior he rushed 14 times for 209 yards and two touchdowns, while catching 19 passes for 233 yards (MaxPreps). In two seasons on defense he had 76 tackles (40 solo) with 15 tackles for loss, seven sacks, four fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Also competed on the track and field and volleyball teams.

Recruitment. Ropati was rated 3-stars by 247Sports (0.8144), who rated him the no. 51 overall JUCO prospect from California in the Class of 2021.
