- 2021 (Junior). Played in 10 games (10 starts) and had 34 receptions for 594 yards and three touchdowns. Named to PFN All-Independent first-team.
- 2020 (COVID Junior). Played in 10 games (10 starts) and had 39 receptions for 767 yards and two touchdowns, with six carries for 16 yards and one touchdown
- 2019 (Sophomore). Played in 13 games (one start) and had 31 receptions for 377 yards and two touchdowns
- 2018 (Freshman). Played in nine games (four starts) and had 13 receptions for 162 yards and three rushes for 19 yards
High School. Romney prepped at Chandler High School (Chandler, Arizona), where in three seasons he had 190 receptions for 3,629 yards and 36 touchdowns, one 12-yard rushing touchdown, and returned kickoffs and punts (MaxPreps). He ran a reported 4.49 forty with a 36-inch vertical (HUDL) and in track & field he competed in the high jump, clearing six feet as a sophomore (Athletic.net).
Recruitment. Romney was rated 3-stars by 247Sports (0.8801), who rated him the no. 4 overall prospect from Arizona in the Class of 2018 and the no. 489 rated recruit nationally. He held scholarship offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, BYU, Columbia, Hawaii, Iowa State, Nevada, Princeton, UNLV, Utah, and Yale. Romney signed with BYU on February 7, 2018 and enrolled on August 7, 2018.
Personal. Romney’s brother Baylor played on the BYU football team (2018-2021) and his uncle Matt Allen played receiver for the Cougs from 2003-2007.
