Davis had 30 starts at BYU and played cornerback and wide receiver. He played in nine games as a freshman (2013) and recorded 17 tackles with one pass breakup. As a sophomore he had 43 tackles (36 solo) with six pass breakups. As a junior he had 27 tackles, a forced fumble, and ten pass breakups and as a senior he had 23 tackles, an interception, and a fumble recovery. In his collegiate career Davis had 110 tackles, 17 pass break ups, and one interception. He ran a 4.34 40 yard dash at his Pro Day.
Davis went undrafted in the 2017 draft but he was signed by the Los Angeles Charger and played in every game as a rookie (mostly on special teams), recording 14 solo tackles, four assisted tackles and one pass deflection.
