BYU Summary

At BYU Denney had 94 tackles as defensive end, but he also handled long snapping duties. As a sophomore he suffered a neck injury and played sparingly at defensive end. He started 12 games as a junior and had 42 tackles, six tackles for loss, and four sacks. As senior defensive lineman he had 27 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, one quarterback hurry, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, and three sacks.

NFL Summary

Denney was undrafted in the 2005 draft but signed as a long snapper with the Miami Dolphins. He is the longest tenured player on the Dolphins roster and holds the team record for consecutive starts (208 and counting). He is a two-time Pro-Bowler (2010, 2012) and in his career he has 43 special teams tackles, a forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries.
