Livingston preps at Rigby High School, where as a sophomore he completed 143 of 240 passes (.596) for 1970 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He also rushed 71 times for 126 yards (1.8 ave) and three more TDs. As a junior he went 182/291 (.625) for 2594 yards, 22 TDS, and 9 INTs. He rushed 100 times for 633 yards and 7 TDs. As a senior he threw 121/217 (.558) for 1787 yards, 18 TDs, and 7 INTs while rushing 109 times for 1126 yards (10.3 ypc) and 17 TDs. He was named to the USA Today All-Idaho first-team, Idaho All-State first-team (Idaho Statesman), and was the 2015 Post Register Player of the Year. He runs the 100m, 200m, and does the High Jump for the track team.
Livingston is rated 2-stars by Rivals and is not rated by Scout or ESPN. He holds scholarship offers from Air Force. He was also recruited by BYU, Boise State, Montana, Utah State, and Weber State. Livingston committed to the Cougars on January 30, 2016. He plans to serve an LDS mission, but it is not yet known if that will be before or after his freshman season.
