After de-commiting from Washington State in September, Hawaiian safety Charles “Moku” Watson is back on the market. He has a second official visit to BYU planned for this weekend.

Charles Watson (Class of 2017) is a 6-foot-2 178 pound safety that preps at Leilehua High School (HI), where this season he has 22 receptions for 366 yards and two touchdowns. He also has 11 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble. The speedster was hand-timed last summer at 4.40 in the 40-meters and has accepted an invitation to play in the inaugural Polynesian Bowl in January.
Watson is rated 3-stars by Rivals, Scout, and ESPN (grade of 76). 24/7 has him as the No. 3 overall prospect in Hawaii. Watson holds scholarship offers from BYU, Colorado, Fresno State, Hawaii, Oregon State, SDSU, SJSU, UNLV, Vanderbilt, and Washington State. He’s also seen recruiting interest from Arizona, ASU, Boise State, Cal, Michigan, Navy, Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, and Washington.
Watson has already visited Washington State and Oregon State but doesn’t plan on making a commitment until after a couple more official visits. BYU is recruiting Watson as a cornerback.
