Earlier this week Caleb Christensen announced his intent to suit up for the Cougars next season.

Christensen is a 5-foot-9, 180 pound defensive back that preps at Sky View High School (Smithfield, Utah).  As a sophomore (2016) he played on the varsity team and had 30 tackles (23 solo), one tackle for loss, one sack, seven passes defended, two forced fumbles, and three interceptions. He also returned four kickoffs for 90 yards (22.5 avg).  As a junior (2017) he played in 12 games and had 41 tackles (40 solo), three tackles for loss, one sack, three passes defended, two fumble recoveries, and five interceptions.  He also recorded four carries for five yards, and returned 11 kicks for 266 yards (24.2 avg.) including three touchdowns.

His senior season was stunted by injury and MCL surgery but he still managed three carries for 20 yards, three receptions for 51 yards, 18 tackles (seven solo), and seven kick returns for 346 yards (49.4 avg) with one touchdown. Christensen also runs on the track team and recorded a 10.92 time in the 2018 Utah State championships (2nd in state in 4A classification), with a 22.61 200m (6th), and 23-1 on the long jump (1st).

Christensen is rated 3-stars by 247 Sports. He holds scholarship offers from Dixie State and Southern Utah.  He is the 14th commitment to the 2019 recruiting class.
