Beau Hoge is a 6’1” 205 pound quarterback committed to play for the BYU football team (High School Class of 2015). He is projected as #3/4 quarterback for the 2015 season.
Hoge prepped at Highlands High School, where he played football and basketball. As a junior he caught 21 passes for 354 yards and three touchdowns. As a backup quarterback he completed 35 of 56 passes for 735 yards and 11 touchdowns. As a senior he threw for 3459 yards and 35 touchdowns against only seven interceptions. He also ran for 865 yards and 26 more touchdowns, accounting for a whopping total of 61 touchdowns during his senior campaign. He was featured with the No. 1 overall play on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” on November 21, 2014:
Hoge was rated 3-stars by Scout and 2-stars by Rivals. ESPN rated him 3-stars (grade of 77) and ranked him the No. 6 overall recruit from the state of Kentucky. He was also recruited by Cincinnati, Miami (OH), Ohio, and Utah State. Hoge committed to the Cougars on November 16, 2014.
