He was also an accomplished wrestler, finishing 4th in the 5A 285-pound weight class as a senior.

Davis was rated 2-stars by Scout and was not rated by Rivals or ESPN. He was recruited by Air Force, Boise State, Northern Arizona, Southern Utah, Utah, and Utah State. He committed to the Cougars on February 2, 2015.
