Dallin Havea is a BYU football signee for the Class of 2021, signing with the Cougs on December 16, 2020.

Havea is a 6-foot-3 215 pound running back and strong safety that prepped at Provo High School (Provo, Utah). As a senior Havea was limited by injuries but still recorded 47 tackles (15 solo), two tackles for loss, and one sack on defense. On offense he rushed 37 times for 151 yards (4.1 avg) and a touchdown and caught four passes for 26 yards (MaxPreps).
As a junior Havea rushed 184 times for 1301 yards (7.1 avg) and seven touchdowns and caught 22 passes for 236 yards and another three touchdowns. On defense he had 30 tackles (17 solo), one tackle for loss, one quarterback hurry, two passes defended, and two interceptions. He helped his team to become 5A Region 8 champions. He was named to the All-Region first team and the All-State second team.
During his sophomore year he had 13 carries for 23 yards (1.8 avg), a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Havea is rated 3-stars (0.8227) by 247Sports, who ranked him as the no. 22 overall prospect in Utah for the class of 2021. He has seen recruiting interest from Army, Dixie State, Nevada, Oregon State, Southern Utah, and Stanford, with scholarship offers from Air Force, Colorado State, Idaho, Utah, Utah State, and Yale.
Dallin’s brother Drason Havea is a 2020 BYU football signee and currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Dallin has plans to serve a mission of his own before joining the Cougars for the 2023 season.
