BYU Basketball gets their 2nd commit for the Class of 2019 in PG’s Casey Brown

Pleasant Grove high school junior Casey Brown made a verbal commitment to BYU basketball yesterday.

Brown is a 6-foot-2 guard that averaged 14.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game as a junior last season. He helped lead his team to the 6A title game and was named to the All-State second team.  In four games as a sophomore he averaged 9.5 points, 6.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game and was third team All-State and first team All-Region.  He is a 4.0 student.

Brown is the second commit for the Cougars Class of 2019, joining Timpview’s Nate Hansen.  Brown plans on serving an LDS mission and returning to play for the 2021-22 season.
