I caught up with Wheat to ask about his recruitment:

BYU Insider:  Why did you choose BYU?
Wheat: I fell in love with BYU and the coaching staff as soon as I met them all, they are all amazing people that have treated me amazingly.

BYU Insider: Why do you feel BYU is a good fit for you?
Wheat: It’s a perfect fit for me because of the way coach Grimes likes to use his tight ends.

BYU Insider: What are some of your favorites?
Wheat: Cocoa Pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and all berries.  I love music and even make my own—I play the piano and the drums.

BYU Insider: Anything else you want Cougarfans to know?
