BYU Football: Pro Tracker, NFL Week 3

Week three of NFL action was Uani Unga’s coming out party for the New York Giants as he played a major role in a 32-21 victory over Washington.  He had six solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, a forced fumble, two pass deflections, and an interception. All stats for former Cougs are outlined below.

Stat Lines (alphabetical)

  • Ziggy Ansah (DE, Detroit Lions, 3rd season). Ziggy had two solo and one assisted tackle in Detroit’s 24-12 loss to the Denver Broncos. Season Stats (3 games): 12 tackles (10 solo, two assists), 2 sacks, 3 TFL.
  • John Denney (LS, Miami Dolphins, 11th season). Miami lost a 41-14 beatdown to Buffalo.  Denney had many opportunities to shine as long snapper (they punted a lot) but recorded no stats.
  • Alani Fua (LB, Arizona Cardinals, UDFA rookie). Fua had one solo tackle in Arizona’s dominating 47-7 win over San Francisco.  Season Stats (3 games): 2 solo tackles
  • Dennis Pitta (TE, Baltimore Ravens, 6th season). Pitta is currently on the injured list (hip) and did not play in Baltimore’s 28-24 loss to Cincinnati.
  • Dallas Reynolds (G, New York Giants, 4th season). Recorded no statistics in New York’s 32-21 victory over the Washington Redskins.
  • Daniel Sorenson (DB, Kansas City Chiefs, 2nd season). Recorded no statistics in Kansas City’s 38-28 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
  • Uani (Devin) Unga (LB, New York Giants, 2nd season). Unga played a major role in New Yorks 32-21 victory over Washington, as he had six solo tackles, 3 assisted tackles, a forced fumble, two pass deflections, and an interception.  Season stats (3 games): 26 tackles (17 SOLO, 9 AST), 4 PD, 1 FF, 2 INT.
  • Kyle Van Noy (LB, Detroit Lions, 2nd season).  KVN had one assisted tackle in Detroit’s 24-12 loss to the Denver.  Season stats (3 games: 1 solo tackle, one assisted tackle.

Players in the Candadian Football League (CFL)

  • John Beck (QB, BC Lions, 2nd season). Season stats: 19-41 (.463) passing for 287 yards, five TDs, and 0 INTs.  21 carries for 30 yards and three TDs.  QB rating of 110.5.
  • Austin Collie (WR, BC Lions, 1st season). Season stats: 32 receptions for 338 yards (10.6 ave.) and six TDs.
  • Cody Hoffman (WR, Montreal Alouettes, 1st season). Season stats: four receptions for 59 yards (14.8 ave.) and one TD.
  • Quinn Lawlor (OL, Montreal Alouettes, 1st season).
