Brooks Maile: DL #90, Class of 2019

Brooks Maile is a 6-foot-4 320-pound defensive lineman for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2019.

  • 2019-21 (LDS Mission). Minneapolis, Minnesota

High School. Maile prepped at Pine View (St. George, Utah), where as a junior he had three receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown, 57 tackles (20 solo), five tackles for loss, and two sacks. (MaxPreps). In this three years of varsity he played in 30 games, had 128 tackles (57 solo), three passes defended, 12.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and an interception. Maile was a 2018 All-State second-team selection, and also played on the basketball and rugby teams.

Recruitment. Maile was rated 3-stars by 247Sports (0.8181), who rated him the no. 21 overall recruit from Utah as part of the Class of 2019. He was recruited by BYU and Utah State.  Maile committed to BYU on June 14, 2017 and signed on December 19, 2018.

Personal. Graduated high school having already earned his associates degree through Success Academy.
