Hunter Erickson made a verbal commitment last night to play hoops for BYU in 2018, choosing the Cougars over the University of Utah, UC-Santa Barbara, and Cal State Northridge.

Erickson preps at Timpview HS (Provo, UT) where he averaged 22 points per game as a junior and was named to the All-State team.  He is rated 3-stars by Scout and Rivals, and is not yet rated by ESPN.  247 Sports has him as the no. 5 recruit in Utah, and the No. 89 ranked shooting guard nationally.  He holds scholarship offers from BYU, Cal State Northridge, UC-Santa Barbara, and Utah, and has also seen recruitment interest from Santa Clara and Utah State.
