
Austin Riggs is a 6-foot-5 225-pound long snapper for Brigham Young University, recruited as part of the Class of 2018.
BYU summary: In two seasons at BYU (roster years 2020 to 2022), Riggs has played in 21 games as long snapper and has recorded two tackles (BYUcougars.com).
- 2022 (Sophomore).
- 2021 (Freshman). Played in all 13 games as punt snapper, and earned starting snapper duties for field goals and PATs for final five games of season.
- 2020 (COVID Freshman). Played in eight games as long snapper for BYU’s punt team, recorded two tackles on punt coverage
High School. Riggs prepped at Eagle high school (Eagle, Idaho), where he played defensive end and long snapper. As a senior he had 14 tackles (six solo) with five tackles for loss and three sacks (MaxPreps). Riggs was named to the Idaho All-State team in 2018.
Recruitment. Riggs was recruited by Boise State, Idaho State, Utah, and Washington. Riggs committed to BYU on June 13, 2017 and enrolled August 1, 2020.

Personal. Served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. His father Duane played football at BYU. Riggs and defensive end Tyler Batty signed one of the first NIL deals with Balmshot.
